Get a first look at Kawasaki’s revived KLE 500 adventure bike – A2-friendly, off-road ready, and set to debut at EICMA 2025

Kawasaki is set to unveil a new adventure motorcycle, reviving the KLE nameplate that first debuted in 1991. The company recently released a teaser video titled “Life’s a rally. Ride it,” showcasing a dual-sport motorcycle tackling rugged terrain. The video description states, “Where the pavement ends…the rally begins,” hinting at the bike's off-road capabilities. The tagline “Est. 1991” suggests a nod to the original KLE model
The teaser aligns with previous hints from Kawasaki at events like Motorcycle Live and EICMA, where they displayed an off-road tire on a spoked wheel with a single brake disc, accompanied by the words “Life’s a rally” and “KLE”
Industry experts speculate that the new model will be named the KLE 500, powered by a 451cc parallel-twin engine producing approximately 45 horsepower. This engine is already used in the Eliminator 500 cruiser and Ninja 500, making it A2 license-friendly. The KLE 500 is expected to feature rally-inspired styling, long-travel suspension, and spoked wheels, distinguishing it from the road-focused Versys 650
The KLE 500 is anticipated to make its global debut at the 2025 EICMA Show in Milan next month. This launch marks Kawasaki's return to the middleweight adventure segment, filling a gap left by the absence of the KLR 650 in the European market for over two decades
