The X6 is a motorcycle-mounted smart display system combining wireless smartphone connectivity, dual 2K cameras, rider awareness features, and onboard recording in a single unit. Designed for everyday riding and longer trips, it brings navigation, media control, and safety functions into one handlebar-mounted interface.
After spending around three weeks using the CPMC X6 Android Auto / Apple CarPlay system, I’ve had enough real-world time with it on my Suzuki V-Strom 1050DE to give a proper, honest verdict.
This isn’t just a sat nav screen — it’s a multi-function unit combining dash cams, tyre pressure monitoring, and smartphone connectivity. But does it actually deliver? Let’s take a look.
The X6 comes as a pretty complete package:
Main display unit with sun visor
Front and rear 2K cameras
Tyre pressure monitoring sensors (front & rear)
GPS module with control buttons
Mounting hardware
Power options (battery connection or USB)
64GB SD card included
Overall, it’s a solid kit with everything you need to get up and running.
Installation is fairly straightforward, especially if you’ve fitted similar systems before:
Cameras mount easily with adhesive brackets
Cables route neatly through the bike
Option to wire to battery or use USB
TPMS sensors pair quickly
That said, it’s not perfect:
The mounting bracket feels a bit clunky and sticks out more than ideal
The GPS/control unit uses a strap, which feels like a strange choice
The remote control lacks a proper mount, relying on adhesive/Velcro
Nothing deal-breaking, but definitely room for improvement.
This is one of the main selling points.
Easy access to Google Maps, music, and calls
Keeps your phone safely in your pocket
Works reliably overall
However:
It can be slightly sluggish at times, even with a high-end phone
Records automatically when the bike starts
Loop recording available
Split-screen viewing on the display
Quality verdict:
Better than older 1080p systems
Good enough for evidence in an accident
Not quite good enough for high-quality YouTube footage

A standout safety feature:
Alerts you when vehicles are behind
Works well in real riding conditions
Downside:
Can be a bit intrusive
Limited adjustment settings
Surprisingly useful:
Real-time pressure and temperature readings
Customisable alerts for high/low pressure
This is one of those features you don’t think you need — until you have it. It adds genuine peace of mind, especially on longer rides.
Touchscreen works well, even with gloves
Clear interface and easy navigation
Manual brightness control
Drawbacks:
Struggles slightly in bright sunlight
No auto brightness adjustment, which is a pain but not the end of the world
Out on the road, the system works as intended:
Easy to switch between screens (CarPlay, cameras, home)
Remote control is useful for quick actions
GPS speed readout is accurate
System feels stable and reliable
The biggest benefit?
👉 You get sat nav, recording, and safety features in one unit, without mounting your phone to the handlebars.
Excellent value for money
All-in-one system (CarPlay + dash cam + TPMS)
Decent 2K camera quality
Useful safety features (blind spot + tyre monitoring)
Keeps your phone safe and off the bike
Easy to use, even with gloves
Mounting bracket feels cheap and bulky
Remote control mounting is poor
Screen lacks auto brightness
Slight lag with Android Auto
Camera quality isn’t “content creator” level
At its price point, the CPMC X6 is very competitive.
You’re getting:
Dash cams
Tyre pressure monitoring
Android Auto / Apple CarPlay
All in one unit — which makes it a strong budget-friendly option.
The CPMC X6 isn’t perfect, but it doesn’t need to be.
It’s best viewed as:
A solid, affordable motorcycle dash cam system with smart features added on top
If you want:
Better safety
Built-in navigation
Ride recording
A cleaner cockpit (no phone mount)
👉 Then this is an easy recommendation.
