Honda has released details at the EICMA show of an exciting new prototype a V3 Supercharged Naked!
Honda’s just dropped something wild at EICMA 2025 in Milan — the V3R 900 E-Compressor Prototype, and it’s unlike anything we’ve seen from them before.
Yep, you read that right — a V3 engine with an electronically controlled compressor. Basically, Honda’s cooked up some seriously clever tech that gives this thing the grunt of a 1200cc bike, even though it’s “only” a 900. Think instant torque from low revs, silky smooth power delivery, and a package that still manages to be compact and slim.
Honda’s calling the concept “Non-Rail Roller Coaster” — a mix of pure thrills and reassuring control. Sounds like they’re trying to give riders that roller-coaster rush without the chaos. It’s part of their big 2030 vision about creating “the joy of free and fun mobility,” which, let’s be honest, sounds way better than being stuck in traffic.
The bike keeps the 75-degree water-cooled V3 layout that Honda teased at last year’s show, but now we’ve got full specs confirming the 900cc displacement. The star of the show, though, is that world-first electronically controlled compressor — a super-precise system that boosts the engine’s power exactly when you need it, without wasting fuel or killing efficiency.
Visually, the V3R looks sharp and futuristic. It’s got asymmetrical side fairings and a brand-new “Honda Flagship WING” emblem on the tank — something Honda says will start appearing on their top-tier bikes from next year.
All in all, the V3R 900 E-Compressor Prototype feels like Honda flexing hard — proving they can still surprise us with fresh ideas and proper rider-focused innovation. If this thing makes it to production, it could mark the start of a seriously exciting new chapter for Honda riders.
Would you ride a V3 Honda with a built-in compressor? Because it sounds like the kind of tech that might just blow the competition away.
